The operation of electric and manual separators is based on the same principle, but units of the first type can process large volumes. In addition to the power of the apparatus, the quality and speed of separation are influenced by such factors as the temperature of the feedstock, the magnitude of the passing flows, and viscosity. As the temperature rises, the viscosity value drops, and separation occurs more efficiently. Therefore, the milk mass can be additionally heated to the required temperature.
To control the volume, it is recommended to use a special screw. It is located at the outlet, allowing you to set the desired level of fat content. To determine this value, the size of the fat globules in the skim milk or its mass fraction is estimated.
